I promised a review of my first experience with nidra yoga. I practiced for an hour on Wednesday and it was the yogi's first class. She did great! Started with some real light yoga (a few down dogs, some cat cows, a child's pose or two) and then we laid there comfortably and went through a body, breath and mind inventory. Toward the end a train whistled and rushed by, and I felt it pass over me as if I was laying on the tracks. Overall very mellow and a good first effort for the yogi and me... I'll go back again. I'm always looking for new ways to meditate and especially with others to feel their energy in the room.
